&lt;p&gt;You will have the opportunity to work in a forward-thinking and growth-oriented environment, at a specialty financial services firm with a comprehensive mortgage platform and an integrated business focused on the production and servicing of U.S. mortgage loans and the management of investments related to the U.S. mortgage market.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Occupy a unique position in the market, being responsible for providing strategic guidance, designs, and solution patterns to team members. Serve as a driver and collaborator throughout development life cycle, partnering with business analysts and customers to review and optimize requirements; and, work with developers to review and validate key functionality and integration. Responsible for ensuring feasibility of design and integration with existing systems/platforms.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Extensive experience working with python and modern web frameworks&lt;br&gt;Experience with AWS Serverless&lt;br&gt;Experience with queueing systems (Celery, SQS, Pub/Sub, etc)&lt;br&gt;Expert level knowledge of Python 3, Object-Oriented Code &amp;amp; Design Patterns&lt;br&gt;Strong Experience with Python frameworks (e.g. Fast API, Flask, Django)&lt;br&gt;Strong Experience with REST APIs&lt;br&gt;Strong Experience with Git&lt;br&gt;Strong Experience Writing Unit Tests&lt;br&gt;Experience utilizing at least one other modern language in a production application (Typescript strongly preferred)&lt;br&gt;Experience with Event Driven Systems &amp;amp; Microservices&lt;br&gt;Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and serverless&lt;br&gt;Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Cloudformation &amp;amp; CDK)&lt;br&gt;Knowledge of Databases (SQL, NoSQL)&lt;br&gt;Knowledge of DevOps Practices (CI/CD, Automated Pipelines)&lt;br&gt;Experience with Agile, Scrum, Jira&lt;br&gt;Attention to Detail&lt;br&gt;Provide technical leadership and guidance to more junior engineers&lt;br&gt;Self Starter (Able to to work alone with minimal direction but also able to work within the team.)&lt;br&gt;Capable of owning technical design for projects of moderate complexity, and understands the tradeoffs in creating good software&lt;br&gt;Ability to understand the capabilities and limitation of existing software and demonstrate a preference to extend, re-use and integrate with them effectively while also improving them&lt;br&gt;Demonstrated track record of making reasonable design tradeoffs between short term results and building for the long term&lt;br&gt;Demonstrated ability to understand and actively participate in team&#39;s scrum activities and rituals as well as help others to understand and embrace them&lt;br&gt;Demonstrates behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Required qualifications:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar major&lt;br&gt;5 years of experience with software development&lt;br&gt;Deep understanding of and experience with modern python (3.x)&lt;br&gt;Demonstrated ability to master at least one major skill outside of core coding such as monitoring, documentation, security, integration testing, visual design, devOps, performance optimization&lt;br&gt;Demonstrated track record of creating significant improvements across business-critical product ecosystems around stability, security, performance, and scalability&lt;br&gt;Demonstrated ability to understand, facilitate or actively participate in multi team or multi subproduct scrum activities and rituals, help others to understand them&lt;br&gt;Demonstrated ability to effectively convey complex technical topics in ways that that could be easily understood by engineers, POs, PMs or nontechnical colleagues&lt;br&gt;Able to collaborate across teams and build systems to address architectural gaps&lt;br&gt;Capable of leading small to mid-size epic level efforts&lt;br&gt;Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred&lt;br&gt;Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management&lt;/p&gt;
